Family Counselling and Therapy
Sometimes, the best way to help your child is to engage in family or parent-child counselling. Family therapy aims to help your family work together through any challenges you may be facing.
Initial intake sessions for family counselling with children are for parents/caregivers only. Initial intake sessions for family counselling with teens involve parents/caregivers and the teen(s). Details on booking an intake session will be discussed during your 15-20 minute free consultation.
Psychological Assessment
The goal of an assessment is to better understand an individual’s strengths and current areas of struggle. A psychological assessment gathers information about a child, youth, or young adult through a variety of methods including interviews, standardized tests, rating scales, and observations. The fees for an assessment vary depending on the type of assessment requested. Each assessment is a flat-rate fee (or can be billed per hour). Details on the assessment process and fees can be found on carepsychology.com and discussed at your initial 15-20 minute free phone consultation.
Parent/Caregiver Consultation
Consultation is available for parents and caregivers who would benefit from support and recommendations on how to best help their children. Consultation support may include in-person or virtual meetings with parents/caregivers, interviews with important individuals in the child's life, and/or a child-friendly interview with the child.
