My name is Marisa, I am a registered psychologist with experience supporting children, youth, and adults. Currently, I am a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Calgary, where I also earned my Master of Science in School and Applied Child Psychology. I have been involved in the field of child and youth mental health for eight years, working within various contexts, including community-based live-in programs, education, and private practice.

I discovered my passion for psychology during high school while volunteering with youth with exceptional needs. Over the years, I have gained expertise in providing psychological assessments and consultation. This involves addressing concerns related to mood and anxiety, giftedness, and neurodevelopmental disorders (such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Developmental Disorder, and Learning disorders). My primary goal is to meet each individual where they are in their journey and provide strengths-based care that maximizes their potential. I work collaboratively with each client to identify their concerns and identify strategies and supports moving forward.

During my leisure time, I enjoy connecting with friends and family, spending time outdoors hiking or running, and indulging in reading new books or tending to my plants.
